This Electrode resistance tester has been designed to control the continuity of wires / electrodes.The connection of the circuit to be tested is done thanks to the two plugs.
One button is used to read the value of the measurement, the result will be displayed in Kohm In case of open circuit, no values will be displayed.
The module is supplied by two standards cells.

The role of the batteries is essential for all electrical prospecting surveys with a resistivity-meter and particularly in multi-electrode mode as it is sometimes necessary to inject huge amounts of current during several hours, by using continually external batteries. That is the reason it is important to control regularly the state of the batteries and to be sure to go on the field with good capacity batteries. Indeed, even if a battery has a good voltage value out of injection, this level can weaken during the current transmission in case of an old battery.
This Battery tester has been designed to estimate the autonomy of a battery for different loads.
The tests are realized on 50W, 100W and 250W power charge.
A SDCARD reader developed by IRIS can be connected to the serial port ("Com1" or "Serial
link") of the Syscal Pro or the Elrec Pro so as to download data in the field without using any
For the Syscal Pro, it’s moreover possible to load into the SD reader, some sequences created by
the Electre Pro software.
The reader is supplied with 2 R6 cells.
When connected to the PC, by the USB port, the IRIS SDCARD reader is recognized as an
external device – so, files can be copied easily in the Explorer window.
Extension switching box for SYSCAL PRO and ELREC PRO units
• Able to drive 24 to 192 electrodes
• Dedidated to extended 2D or 3D arrays
The electrodes numbering is done automatically from the unit ; two push buttons allow to select the first electrode number to be used, to make it compatible with your SYSCAL Pro Switch unit, and with other SWITCH Pro boxes ; The unit has its own screen allowing to see the electrodes number currently used together with the battery level.
Several SWITCH Pro boxes can be connected together for large 2D or 3D acquisitions (up to 192 electrodes can be switched per SWITCH Pro unit with a maximum of 2000 electrodes for the full system).
The ProTester box can be used for the following tests:
• Pin to Pin continuity test:
A measurement of resistance is done between the plugs connected into the front panel sockets of the ProTester box.
This allows to be sure of the good continuity condition of the plugs of the Multi-conductor switch cables and of the sockets of the connecting boxes.
• Pin to Take-out continuity test:
A measurement of resistance is done between the plugs connected into the front panel sockets and the corresponding take-out of the multi-conductor switch cable.
This allows to be sure of the good continuity condition of the Multi-conductor switch cables.
• Electrical Isolation test:
An injection is done in each pin (800V by default (the value can be modified depending on the specifications of your own cables) and a resistance measurement is done in other pins.
This allows to be sure of the perfect electrical isolation of the Multi-conductor switch cables, of the Connecting boxes and of the Syscal Pro and Switch Pro units
• Relays test:
A measurement of the resistance of each relay of the switching boards is done.
This allows to be sure of the perfect operating of the internal switching relays board of the Syscal Pro and Switch Pro units.
• Self test:
The ProTester box itself can be tested to check the electrical isolation and the output continuity of the front panel sockets.
TEST BOX for ELREC Pro IP RECEIVER
This test box is not a calibration unit, but a test unit which aims at checking the good operation of an ELREC Pro receiver. It allows to control the Rs Check function and the measuring function of an ELREC Pro for each channel.
More precisely, this test box is useful to validate the proper functioning of the internal CPU board of an ELREC Pro.
TEST BOX for SYSCAL
This test box is not a calibration unit, but a test unit which aims at checking the good operation of a SYSCAL Switch or a SYSCAL PRO Switch version. It allows to control the Rs Check function and the measuring function of a SYSCAL for each channel.
More precisely, this test box is useful to validate the proper functioning of the internal CPU board, Power board and Switching boards of a SYSCAL/SYSCAL Pro Switch.
